The Best Places to Find Free Makeup Samples

Makeup is a lot of fun to experiment with. But it is not a lot of fun to waste money on makeup products that you use once and never use again. We’ve all done it; we’ve bought that lipstick because the color looked so pretty, but somehow just didn’t look the same when we put it on. To try to save money this year, Ive vowed to only make purchases of makeup Ive tried before. How do I expect to do that? I plan to find makeup samples to try before I invest in the product.

There are plenty of cosmetic companies that are willing to give you a free sample; you just have to be willing to ask. A lot of the free samples that cosmetic companies give away are given if you make a purchase from them first. If you buy a certain product or spend a certain amount of money with them, then theyll give you a gift package with makeup samples.

Just because you are technically supposed to make a purchase of a product to get the samples, doesn’t mean they might not be willing to give you one for free if you just ask. Whats the worst that can happen? If they know you are truly interested in trying out a color or product, but you aren’t willing to spend the money on a full size one, they might be willing to give you a free sample hoping it will bring them business in the future.

If you are like the thousands of people who don’t have a department store with makeup counters nearby, thanks to the invention of the internet, you still have access to makeup samples. If you enter makeup samples or free makeup samples in a search engine, several different websites will come up.

Since you wont be able to pick up the makeup samples that you get online, the companies will mail them to you. This does require you to enter your name and address on their website which means they might start sending you their advertisements by email. They also might ask you to answer a survey before they’ll send you the sample. This is how a lot of companies are gathering information about the people interested in their products.

Sometimes, the surveys can be long. My advice to you is unless you are really excited about trying out the product, stick with the freebies that have the short surveys. Two minutes filling out a questionnaire is not too high of a price for a free sample, but ten minutes might be. After all, your time is valuable.

So instead of spending your money on makeup products you don’t even know if you’ll like before, think about looking for free samples. Samples are an easy way to make up your mind about products without breaking the bank.
